Volcanes is the poorest neighbourhood in Puerto Vallarta
The Children of the Dump organization works to bring relief and hope to the needy children and families living in and around the dump communities of Puerto Vallarta. Saúl González-Vargas, pastor of Perdon y Amistad (forgiveness and friendship) is currently feeding over 2,500 children of the city dump communities one meal a day, five days a week. Under the guidance of Pastor Saul, the School of Champions was constructed to provide English, mathematics, and computer training to children of the neighborhood. Isa Mundo Foundation visited the children and the school in June 2005 and committed to bring school supplies to the children.
The School of Champions was the first fundraising project completed by Isa Mundo Foundation.
Isa Mundo collected 30 boxes of much needed school and medical supplies along with clothing, toys and sports equipment. With the generous support of Alaska Airlines and its employees, the boxes were delivered to the children in May 2006.
Since then, Isa Mundo has returned every year to the School of Champions provide educational materials and books to create a much needed library that will complement the student's education.
